Officially opened to the public on March 16, 1995, the Liu Haisu Art Museum is China's first national art museum named after an individual at the provincial and municipal levels.The establishment of the Liu Haisu Art Museum aims to pass on and uphold Liu's ideals of aesthetic education, cultural beliefs and the artistic path.The museum is now located in Changning district and spans an impressive 12,540 square metres and its architecture draws inspiration from one of Liu's paintings, seamlessly blending with the lush greenery that surrounds it.
