Shanghai has multiple railway stations spread across the city and to avoid confusion and ensure a smooth journey, it's important to confirm your arrival and departure station before traveling.

Below is a list of the four major stations and six smaller stations, along with their locations and nearby metro lines for easy access:

Four major stations

Shanghai Railway Station — located on Moling Road, Jing'an district; accessible via metro lines 1, 3 and 4.

Shanghainan Railway Station, or Shanghai South Railway Station — located on Humin Road, Xuhui district; accessible via metro lines 1, 3 and 15.

Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station — located on Shengui Road, Minhang district; accessible via metro lines 2, 10 and 17.

Shanghai Songjiang Railway Station — located on Songxian Road, Songjiang district; accessible via Metro Line 9.

Six smaller stations

Shanghaixi Railway Station, or Shanghai West Railway Station — located on Taopu Road, Putuo district; accessible via metro lines 11 and 15.

Nanxiangbei Railway Station — located on West Jinchang Road, Jiading district.

Antingbei Railway Station — located on the north side of Bao'an Highway, Jiading district.

Antingxi Railway Station — located in Dujiazhai village, Jiading district.

Jinshanbei Railway Station — located on Xinghao Road, Jinshan district.

Liantang Railway Station — located at the intersection of North Zhanqian Road and Sanfeng Road, Qingpu district.
